Seat the standoffs

Peel the protective film off both sides of the back acrylic panel. Thread all four 6mm standoffs into its corner holes, finger‑tight, using the 4 provided nuts.

Lower the board

Align the four board holes over the standoffs, USB‑C connector facing down. Secure with 4 of the 8 included 11mm standoffs.

Plug in the LCD

Press the LCD's 16‑pin header straight down into socket J2. Pins can bend — go gently, wiggling side to side slightly if required. Peel the thin protective film off the screen.

Add the remaining standoffs

Thread the remaining 4 of the 8 included 11mm standoffs into the standoff holes now showing above the board.

Add the front panel

Peel the protective film off both sides of the front acrylic panel. Lower it over the standoffs. Secure with the 4 included bolts.

Power it on

Connect USB‑C to a 5V source. The power LED lights red; the screen wakes a few seconds later.

Join it to WiFi

On a phone, connect to network AFKdata. A setup page opens automatically — pick your home network and enter its password. If it doesn't open, browse to 192.168.4.1.

Find its address

Watch the screen during start‑up — it shows the device's IP address briefly. Visit that address in a browser on the same network to configure it.
