Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information AFKDATA PTY LTD (ABN 85 700 030 459, "we", "us") collects through afkdata.com (the "Site"), and how we use, store, and share it.
1. Information We Collect
- Order & shipping details — name, email address, phone number, and postal address, collected when you place an order, so we can fulfil and ship it.
- Address checks at checkout — when you press "Verify Address" in checkout, the details you've entered (name, email address, phone number, postal address, and the items in your cart) are sent to our server along with the time, the shipping quote, and whether the address could be verified. We keep a record of this even if you don't go on to place an order.
- Waitlist details — email address and product preferences, collected if you join the waitlist.
- Payment information — we do not collect or store your full card or wallet details. Card payments are processed by Stripe; cryptocurrency payments are processed by RelayPay. We retain only order-level metadata such as amount, currency, and payment status.
- Advertising measurement data — we run the X (Twitter) conversion tracking pixel on this Site. When you visit a page, it sets cookies and sends X the page you viewed, your IP address, your browser and device details, and, if you arrived from one of our ads on X, an identifier for that ad. When an order is confirmed it also sends X the order total, currency, order number, and which product was bought — never your name, email address, phone number, postal address, or payment details. We use this only to measure how our X ads perform.
Apart from the X pixel described above, we do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this Site. You can block the pixel with your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker, or opt out of interest-based advertising in your X account's privacy settings — the Site works normally either way.
If you use our checkout, we also store your shipping details in your browser's local storage so they're pre-filled if you switch payment methods. This stays on your device only, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and you can clear it via your browser settings.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process, validate, and ship your order (we use Australia Post's Postage Assessment Calculator API to validate and quote shipping addresses).
- To look into problems customers run into while checking out, such as addresses that can't be verified or destinations we can't quote, and to understand where people would like us to ship.
- To send order confirmations and shipping updates.
- To notify waitlist subscribers when stock or preorders become available.
- To respond to support requests sent to [email protected].
- To measure how our advertising on X performs, so we know which ads are worth running.
- To track delivery of your order and, once it's delivered, invite you to leave a review (see "Reviews" below).
3. Who We Share It With
We share the minimum information necessary with the following service providers, each of whom processes it under their own privacy policy:
- Stripe — card payment processing.
- RelayPay — cryptocurrency payment processing.
- Australia Post — shipping address validation and postage calculation.
- Brevo — sends our order confirmation, shipping, and delivery emails on our behalf.
- 17TRACK — receives your parcel's tracking number and carrier so we can monitor delivery status.
- Trustpilot — once your order is marked delivered, we send your email address and order number to Trustpilot's Automatic Feedback Service, which invites you to leave a review. You can decline or ignore this invitation at any time.
- X Corp. — receives the browsing data described in section 1 via the conversion tracking pixel, so we can measure our ad performance.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Retention
We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil your order, handle any warranty or support request, and meet our tax and accounting obligations. Waitlist entries are kept until stock becomes available and the notification is sent, or until you ask us to remove them. Records of address checks at checkout are deleted automatically after 14 days (backup copies are overwritten within a few days after that), or sooner if you ask us to remove them.
5. Your Rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing [email protected].
6. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, but no method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure.
7. Children
The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page.
